gas for a super sonic?

I just listened to that new fender super sonic, and it sounds not to bad! does anyone have any experience with this amp? Or should I just keep walking and look for something else?

Re: gas for a super sonic?

All the amps in the Pro Tube Series don't get enough credit. They're the most versatile all tube Fenders ever made. I used to have a Concert Reverb, and it was a very cool amp......far better than the Reissues and Hotrod Devilles.

Anytime you've got an amp that is capable of highgain, I think it's best to buy it in the head/2-12, rather than open back combo. I'd love to have one of the cream colored heads and cabs.

I'm VERY interested in this amp, but one hasn't turned up down my way yet.

Around here, they're just starting to hit the used market. I've seen the head as low as $750. I like single channel PTP amps too, but PC board amps like the Supersonic have so much versatility that it's a tossup for me. The only complaint I've ever had about channel switching Fenders is those chincy footswitches. I wish they'd make them nicer like Mesa switches.

I've played them a bit. I love the clean channel, both voices sound great and are really useful. I don't care for the gain channel though.
