Giger's work is amazing...he is a good friend of one of my graphic design professors who has worked with him in the past...i gotta send him a link to this, he is a guitarist also...now i have bad gas for the iceman or the RG hmmmm....which one to buy...

Re: GAS for Ibanez!

You want gas, check out the 2005 SZ320 with Duncan designed pickups.all for $400. This is the best axe for the dollar money can buy.

Re: GAS for Ibanez!

Still hate Ibanez for replacing the Lo-Pro Edge and Edge FR-trem systems into the new Edge Pro... I may be old school or something, but i just hate the new bridges in comparison to a Lo-Pro Edge. Not the same quality as well if you ask me. Used to play Ibanez exclusicely in the past, but since they replaced the bridges, it's no more new Ibanez FR-equipped guitars for me.

Re: GAS for Ibanez!

I´ve not tried the new bridges first hand, but a LOT of Ibanez "Floydists" seem to really hate them :saeek:

I´m not too stoked on the grafies, though. Either Giger is mellowing or Ibanez made the wrong choice / didn´t pay enouch, IMO ;)

Re: GAS for Ibanez!

About time they made a hardtail RG Prestige :) Welcome to the dark side, Seraphial ;)

Re: GAS for Ibanez!

Haha, I remember thinking that the RGs were always ugly 80's guitars - now I'm trying to find my words so I can eat'em...

Re: GAS for Ibanez!

I really like metallic RGs like the 1570. Looks like a weapon. I thought the Giger art work was perfect. Not to wild but really cool. I have to ask, GAS? Guitar Aquisition Syndrome? Sorry for my ignorance:)

+1, looks great, nice colour too.

A couple of duncans in that thing would make that a serious rocking guitar.
