I've just bought genuine creme Gibson pickup rings, switch tip and selector ring and none of them are the same shade of creme! So annoying

That sounds like genuine Gibson. Lack of consistency and all just like the old days. (and current day some say)
FWIW - when I bought my Gibson Les Paul new in 1994, the binding was tan, the pickguard was yellow beige, the switch plate was reddish tan, the tuners were green, the inlays were blue. Now, 20 years later, they all match.
Yeah, this happened to me as well, I tried to put my '84 LP Custom into my 2007 LP case.. and it didn't fit!I kinda had to laugh when I tried to put one of my '74 SGs in a modern SG case. Doesn't fit at all.
You could always soak all the plastic in coffee or tea, might help them color match.
I'm pretty sure that Gibson could change the colour just like that. I worked in a plastics factory in my early 20's, and the colour was in the material you bought.....one shade of cream is the same price as another.
It becomes an upselling tool for Historics and the historic plastics line. The price of moulds too is swallowed by the quantities of production. The price of some of the exotic pickup rings for example is extraordinary.
