Its a special deal and one they didn't have to offer at all. I think 6 weeks is a more than adequate window. Especially considering it will still be available albeit at full CS shop price

On the specs it says the wind is around 13.5k, is that set in stone, or will the custom shop have some flexibility as to the actual resistance? I was under the impression that 13.5k was an indication of the kind of output we want as opposed to a hard and fast guideline. Either way, it should sound awesome, I'm just mad about 2 things:
1.) I might not have the money while this offer is available :banghead:

On the bright side, if I end up getting this, it'll be a great excuse for a project guitar :banana:
I'm thinking an all-white super strat with a floyd rose and a single bridge humbucker

Awesome, for us tone-hounds this will be one more thing to mess with and see if we really like it, while getting something special and not so ordinary.
I've got several bodies ready for electronics, so one of them may get the 'crazy 8' installed very soon.

i'd be interested to see what the core tone guys (seymour, MJ, the R+D team) thought of the specs, get their professional opinion.. with a different magnet we could call it the PATB-4?
speaking of which - are magnet swaps possible on these trembucker bobbins? i'm worried i'd wanna try an alnico 5 or 2 in there!

Kinda bugs me that it's black. Normally, I'd be all over it, but my only guitar that is routed for buckers is my Les Paul, and it's cream. No black pups in there, which sucks!
Cool friggin pup though, I'm really disappointed.

A black Crazy 8 should look real good in a Black Les Paul Custom with creme mounting rings. Count me in.
