I know I'm not alone in the opinion that we don't need any more freaking polls. We've had our fair share of polls regarding the makeup of this pickup, let's call it done and move on.
It's no longer time for us to be creative. We've done our duty, now let's hand the masters our ideas and let them do what they do best.
Same here. Woot.YEE HAW!
I just got my bill for the Crazy 8.
It'll be more exciting when the pup arrives and is installed!
Same here. Woot.

I don't know how much they would like me to divulge here, but if you haven't read all the posts about it you can at least know that you can't fit "around 13.5k" of 42awg on these bobbins. Here's the way I see it: The wind should be something of a more open, slightly lower output Custom type wind. Not to be difficult, but I'm not sure I can order a pickup without some description of the sound. Surely SD or MJ can give us some info about it. If it's wound with 42g wire, it's going to be different than 43g wire.
To cause even more controversy, is it called the Crazy 8 because they think it is a crazy, pointless, combination??? Or they feel crazy for building it???
Or, has it actually been built yet??? :firedevil

It's a Crazy 8 as in crazy awesome, :eyecrazy: not "this pickup is crazy". I have a guitar in mind already for this pickup, along with PATB singles. Thanks you guys! This is truly an opportunity to have something very few people will have.
i would get the trem spaced version for a strat
It feels horrible having contributed to the specs of the pup but not having enough money to get one until at least the summer.
Ahwell, eventually I will get one, and I'll either buy a used Strat or build one myself and drop the Crazy 8 in!!
