Gibson 490R/490T Wiring

I have seen some Gibson 490's selling on Ebay that come with braided shielded wiring.

On Gibson's website they say the pickups come wax potted with four conductor wire, but are otherwise original PAF.

Did some of these pickups come with anything other than 4 conductor wire???

The majority of Gibson HB's in guitars are single lead. For the few models that have push pulls for coil cut, they'll have 4 leads. Gibson's aftermarket PU's are usually 4 lead. They manage to save a few cents per PU doing this, as if their prices couldn't absorb that.
