I would have them Build me a Gibson Les Paul Custom With an Ebony finger Bord 24 frets 5 piece mahogany neck with black binding, block inlays mahogany body with a super thick AAAA flame maple top with purple dye one humbucker and a Floyd rose. and matching black binding around the body
If it's just a case of a standard model with a nice top and fancy paint job they are about £500 more than a normal one. However they don't hold their value.
I would not expect them to hold there value due to being so personal
you can always give heritage guitars a chance if you are interested in a custom lp. Price will be half and the quality will be same if not better.
no budget custom gibson? it'd be sumthin' like this....
-double cut les paul, with toggle switch in the upper bout for standard les paul controls
-split parallelogram inlays
-long tenon maple neck
-contoured neck heel
-30/60 neck carve
-stainless medium-jumbo frets
-ebony fretboard
-off white binding on headstock with custom inlay
-matching binding on neck and body
-semi plain semi quilted maple top on korina body,
-a5/a4 phat cat in the neck, stock PG in the bridge with distressed covers
-artie/page wiring scheme with custom bourns 500k push-pull pots
-tonepros bridge and tailpiece
-creme pickup rings and pickguard
-satin medium/dark green finish on the top, natural satin for the body and neck
I was talking more about the ones that are not really personal, just a fancy top and great finish.

I'd have them build me a dead on '59. Boring, but true.
haha that would be pretty sick p90 or a humbucker?
