Damn! I would have them build me a... Purple SG Jr.

Re: Gibson Custom shop

If it's just a case of a standard model with a nice top and fancy paint job they are about £500 more than a normal one. However they don't hold their value.

I would not expect them to hold there value due to being so personal

Re: Gibson Custom shop

-30/60 neck carve
-stainless medium-jumbo frets
-ebony fretboard

-matching binding on neck and body
-semi plain semi quilted maple top on korina body,
-a5/a4 phat cat in the neck, stock PG in the bridge with distressed covers
-artie/page wiring scheme with custom bourns 500k push-pull pots
-tonepros bridge and tailpiece
-creme pickup rings and pickguard
-satin medium/dark green finish on the top, natural satin for the body and neck

Re: Gibson Custom shop

You can always give heritage guitars a chance if you are interested in a custom LP. Price will be half and the quality will be same if not better.

That sir sounds freeking sweet!!

I was talking more about the ones that are not really personal, just a fancy top and great finish.

Really? whats the site? I would love me some heritage

I'd have them build me a dead on '59. Boring, but true.

No way man 59's kick ass

Re: Gibson Custom shop

I want this from the gibson CS:

First One is a Gibson CS-356. I want the exact finish but on a es-359 w/ the 30/60 neck.

Second one is a Gibson Gary Rossington '59 LP. I want same guitar but with no aging.

*edit*

Too bad they'll probably cost me $4k+..... :nervous:

Re: Gibson Custom shop

They used to have an automotive color called "Heather Polly" ......I'd get a Custom in that or "Pelham Blue"....w/ Seth Lovers or the old staple setup they had in the 50s

Re: Gibson Custom shop

a custom les paul BFG of sorts... mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard. nice flame maple top with the rootbeer finish. humbucker bridge (probably zebra) with a black p90 in the middle position (instead of neck). same BFG control set up (i think it was 2 tones, 1 volumes, 3 way switch, and a killswitch?). white binding on the body and neck/headstock. most important part for me would be a rib contour too  i'm a skinny bastard and a normal les paul really digs into my ribs! makes playing for too long really uncomfortable

Re: Gibson Custom shop

Explorer, black stain over quilted maple top. no pickguard. Natural binding around the body. Yummy!
