Gibson Explorer's where are they?

Re: Gibson Explorer's where are they?

my dream explorer would be a black flame top and no pickguard and white binding. I liked that smaller version Gibson did a few years back, but prefer to have a full size one. Or solid black, not guard and white binding. (like Lita's old Hamer)

I do LOVE my black explorer with mirrored pg!!

1997 Hamer Standard and 2004 Dean USA Z Pro two fine examples out there if you don't mind thinking out of the box. :headbang:

While Hamer is gone, Dean is still alive and making great Z guitars in Tampa. The Chicago Series USAs are straight out of the '70s Sweet and the import versions from Korea are not bad either.

Edited to add: The new boss of "Explorers". :headbang:

^^ Yeah, meant you, sorry :P :D. Was thinking of the guitar with the Punisher skull inlays.

Re: Gibson Explorer's where are they?

Yeah. It was nice but since it was 1 of 1 I was always afraid of messing it up so I sold it a couple years ago.
