Is it this one?
It's an old Les Paul with a flat top, all-mahogany made. At that price, I'd grab it, and if it's lively sounding, it'll be a STEAL! Beautiful guitars to have as a mod platform, or to gig with in those places where you play behind chicken wire, a la Blues Brothers!
You may need to get use to the location of the toggle switch...
They're player guitars, truly workhorses, NOT very collectible, though. I doubt the price will increase in the future.
BTW, the Matsumoku-made brand Vantage did a (carbon) copy of this model (called the Ghost)and the ones I've tried were EXCELLENT, they were resonant little beasts; I'd grab'em in a heartbeat!

I didn't care for that second issue from the 90's. Those old walnut originals are were it's at. They can still be found from $500 to $900 depending on condition.

almost bought one of these but it was almost the same as my SG Standard at the time. they're pretty thin bodies and the control layout is almost the same as an SG. BUT for $400 it might be a decent deal. i think the one i was looking at was a little overpriced ($600 maybe?)

Incorrect. Marley played a modified LP Special (dual P90s, bespoke oversized selector switch surround).
Gibson The Paul models have the selector switch down near the volume and tone pots.
Obviously, the construction of these two models is very similar. IMO, this makes The Paul a strong candidate for P-Rails and Triple Shot mounting surrounds.
