Gigged last week with silver zephyr pickup guitars, my feelings about them

Re: Gigged last week with silver zephyr pickup guitars, my feelings about them

Threads like this remind me of how lucky I am to be in the left handed crowd.

BTW:

gig 4 (gg) Slang

A job, especially a booking for musicians.
intr.v. gigged, gig·ging, gigs

>job 1 (jb)

1. A regular activity performed in exchange for payment, especially as one's trade, occupation, or profession.

--------------------------------

2. Informal An impromptu discussion.

>in·for·mal (n-fôrml)
adj.
1. Not formal or ceremonious; casual: an informal gathering of friends; a relaxed, informal manner.
2. Not being in accord with prescribed regulations or forms; unofficial: an informal agreement.
3. Suited for everyday wear or use: informal clothes.
4. Being more appropriate for use in the spoken language than in the written language.

>gath·er·ing (gr-ng)

a. The action of one that gathers.
b. That which is gathered or amassed; a collection or accumulation.

3. The collecting of food that grows wild, such as berries, roots, and grains.
4. A gather in cloth.

I don't think jam session depicts payment at any point the way a gig does.

SD should make a line of pickups stained blood from employees. That'll go over really well.

I've painted/played with my own blood before, but that is another story of me messing with people. Not something I recommend to do often/more than a few times in a lifetime.

But still, what are you going to do now with the damages? Have you tried cleaning the blood off? Contacting the a**hole? Contacting the stupid lady organizer?

I painted a smiley face on my strat's original white pickguard in my own blood when my nose was bleeding one day. Put clear tape over it so it wouldn't get rubbed off, and there it stayed for many a year.

Eventually I wanted to take all the stickers and goofy sh!t off the strat and ended up cleaning that off, but it left a very slight mark on the pickguard.

It was something alright! Here it is, from my joke band's 2nd gig. My sister was playing it and I was playing my other guitar. Lower horn. brownish-red smiley face. :headbang: Black Metal/Death Metal stickers everywhere else

See I thought she was related!

Hence why I refrained blabbin' on about how incredibly hot she is.

Whoops.

Lol yeah, the band originally started out as a huge joke between her and our singer, and then i was brought into it, and then we found out that the guy who would eventually become our bassist/keyboardist lived literally a 2 minute walk from our singer, so it was tremendously convenient lol.

Has anyone noticed that the pickups in question are actually called "Zephr Silver" and not "Silver Zephr"?

Oh, no. It has just occurred to me that this entire thread is an almighty hoax.

The OP just tells everyone that he has super-expensive pickups to test their reactions. Are they impressed? Can they "hear" or "feel" a difference? Will anybody notice that the pickups are actually dogbreath MIC units with a Seymour Duncan logo cut out from a magazine and glued on?

Clever!
