Good choice for a cheaper little amp?

Re: Good choice for a cheaper little amp?

Yeah the fuse program lets you edit the presets, you can change amp models, cabinet models, fx, volume and gain, treble middle bass and presence, and even a setting for "tube bias". Yes it's free and it hooks up to your computer with usb.
It's essential to get the most from the mustang I and II as the presets suck noodles.

The mustang 3 and 4 have more knobs and a little display panel for doing that kind of preset editing, but the 1 and 2 need a computer to edit things like cabinet model. The 1 and 2 don't even have a midrange control on the panel.

Sorry I did mean to say Micro Terror!

I've always wondered how good that amp was.. I've seen it on so many videos, and it's always considered amazing for the price.

Only problem is getting some speakers for it..

That's another thing, where do you get them from?

I'm still quite new to this!

Re: Good choice for a cheaper little amp?

Still wondering about my last post but an update;

My father was able to stop quickly at the guitar shop and looked, they don't have the Mustang I anymore, but they do have the Mustang II for 139.99.

I'm still thinking we might go with the cube.. It's so much smaller and that's pretty much exactly what we need.. And I mean my sister loves my Cube 30 so I don't think she'll be upset with it.

Re: Good choice for a cheaper little amp?

I have the CUBE 40GX. Right now there's a $50 Rebate, so You can get it for $200. I know that Your post is a month ago, but just in case You haven't purchased yet, 40 Roland watts for two bills is a great deal even if You did pick one up for her already!

I love the Marshall MGs. They sound great and they are easy to find at a great price.

Re: Good choice for a cheaper little amp?

These little Hotone 5 watt SS heads sound pretty sweet for not much $$. Recorded tones are fantastic though I have'nt tried one in person yet..

The Cube amps can do a lot of Modeling and do it well. I found a 30 X for a friend and she loves it. I have a 40 GX, Great little amps, cool effects too.
