Peavey Windsor, I scored my half stack new for $600.
The cab is so-so the speakers compress and little too quickly for my tastes but the head is a mutha!!! Swap out the overly dark JJ 12AX7's for some EH 12AX7 and you'll be sitting pretty good. An excellent hard rock head that can swing to the metal side if not ultra high gain.
You can score Peavey Ultra heads pretty cheap add a Peavey 412MS cab for about $200and you have a high gain setup for cheap.
