Solid choice!

Relic teles and strats are the best new fender guitars available in my opinion. If the neck is chunky, your new guitar is my dream tele!

One tip: try an aged white pickguard for that 'Steve Cropper in the 70s' look. Have fun growing the hair and beard...

Couldn't find the exact guitar, but he had one the same as this, only a tele with a maple neck...

Great purchase! That's the Tele Leo shoulda made. 9.5 and medium jumbo!

Now I'm really excited. I get that Z-3 that's in my avatar on Wednesday!

If I grow tired of that one, for some reason, I think I'm going to track down
a Fender Closet Classic 63 Tele, like Robben Ford's main one.
G&L's, American Teles, and Warmoths are good, but you did the right thing by getting a CS Fender. I actually think they're better than the old originals,
plus they hold value. 40 years can either do good things to a guitar or bad things. When buying vintage, you never know which one it'll be, unless it's in your hand already. You know all this already, tho. Nice lifetime keeper! :fing2:

Enjoy the new Tele...sounds like a keeper. I love the 9.5 and med/jumbos on my Tele and Strat...perfecto.
