Got to crank the JSX this weekend

Re: Got to crank the JSX this weekend

First, satriani is still with Peavey. He just used the Marshall's with Chickenfoot because they suited the band better. Where the JSX suits the Melody/Lead guitar he plays in his solo tours. As far as the Butcher, it's a 100 watt amp that is a similar design to the JSX. Either way, the JSX is an awesome amp, and by that I mean very versatile.

Same could be said for the Carvin Legacy I series.....

AMAZING amp btw. Amazing, crystal clear lush cleans and killer distortion.

Yeah those Carvin Legacy I's are pretty cool amps. Loud, and finicky with preamp tubes, but very cool. Too bad I kept blowing mine up. :(

Well that makes sense, gotta change tools to suit the job, I was just under the impression that he'd left Peavey totally.

I plugged into a JSX head that the local GC here has on clearance. I came away with the same impressions. Gorgeous clean tones. The crunch channel is amazing - chunky, tight, with more gain available than I'd need. The Ultra channel is just a bonus. For most hard rock and metal, the crunch channel has you covered.
I thought hard about snagging it.

What are they asking? I just got a XXX head on clearance from Ash for $799.
