Gretsch Streamliner

I'm definitely getting one at some point later in the year, should I get the 2622 stop tail or for $100 more go for the 2622T with the Bigsby?

The new Gretsch stuff is top notch. Several of my nephews and clients have them and enjoy them. The Bigsby can be made even better by installing a Schaller roller bridge (usually around $55). And yes - those Broadtrons have a great tone - single coil snap and chime in a humbucker. Not terrific for bebop, but for country, pop, blues, or rock - an excellent choice. Affordable, too. I don't hesitate to recommend them to anyone thinking about one.

Great point about the roller bridge too.

In the last 5-6 years, these $300-500 Gretsch Streamliner guitars are really the best thing going for value in my experience.

Great choice.

My Gretsch Elliot Easton sig. Jet has a Bigsby. I rarely use the Bigsby but it looks cool as hxxx. I wouldn't own one without the Bigsby. When I do use it, it gives a subtle vibrato that is unique to Bigsby. I also recommend the roller bridge.
