Guild D-17m vs D-25

There's 2 Guild acoustics on the used market for similar prices, both made in 1985. One is an all-mahogany D-17 with a gloss finish (looks near-mint) and the other is a Spruce-top D-25 with a pickup and B-Band preamp (definitely has been gigged). Both come with their original cases.

FWIW I already have a Dreadnaught with a Spruce top and rosewood back and sides. I'm leaning towards the D-17 but the D-25 is actually priced a little lower and the built-in pickup is appealing. Both have the arched-back.

I know and love the sound of Guild Guitars thanks to John Prine, Ryan Adams and Joe Pug (the latter who exclusively uses Guilds).

I'm leaning towards the D-17 but curious what folks here think. I mostly strum chords on an acoustic but I do some finger-picking and lead playing from time to time. I also may end up selling my current acoustic after buying a Guild (especially if I get the D-25)

i havent tried either of those models, but i do love guilds. can you play them before ya buy? you can always add a pup if ya want.
