Will ESP go for a more straight-ahead looking clone with the EC series?

The newest batch of EC's are already straight-ahead looking Les Paul clones. They even sound like Les Pauls. The only thing they need is another tone control and you've got a Paul!

Kudos to PRS for standing up for themselves. I wonder if there was a counter-suit of any kind? Did Gibson end up having to pay for PRS' lawyers? That would've been the double whammy.

IMO, Gibson could, and probably should, prosecute cases like these against Tokai, Edwards, et al.
Gibson should stop being a little b****. Maybe they should think about licensing the shape out...like fender does with their headstock for replacement necks, etc. Fender seems to be as successful as ever. And they have some serious competition in the Strat/Tele department.

So Gibson can no longer appeal?

Actually, I'm finding Gibson to be less and less APPEALING as time goes on and the shennaigans pile up:chairfall
