Guitarpronopalooza!!!!!!

Re: Guitarpronopalooza!!!!!!

I got nothing new to add... But I shall still throw my hat into the ring.

Can't wait to see all the new axes!

Re: Guitarpronopalooza!!!!!!

If they use the "old" categories, then pretty much only proper Strats and Gibsons get represented. I think we need to move to a format that gives everyone a place to enter. My suggested categories:

Re: Guitarpronopalooza!!!!!!

I'd add a "shred" style category. Otherwise, I like!

I figure "shred" is really more of a theme or style, not a type of guitar. Just like a hot-rodded USA Charvel would fit into the All-American column and a newer Korean/Chinese B.C. Rich Gunslinger would fit into the King of the High Seas category...any "shred" guitar should ultimately fit into one of the categories: American, Import or Parts/Custom.

However, I suppose we could have:

FRET BURNER (High-Performance Hot Rods and Show-Off Shredders)

I like the list, for now. Seeing a few possibilities where someone could stick their "gee wowzers what a beaut!" piece in various categories, competing against "purpose-built" sticks (i.e. a 1950s world-toured Strat, which the judge is partial to, going against a Warlock, or one of those ridiculous ESPee DemonGirl/AngelSword/AnimeGun/Prince shapes, etc etc).

Re: Guitarpronopalooza!!!!!!

masta' c, I like the categories. You've spent some time thinking about those....for shore!

Re: Guitarpronopalooza!!!!!!

Fear not boys - I'l try to keep it balanced so everyone can play, and so everyone gets a fair shake.

Remember - I love a primo flame LP custom as much as a Hondo....

It's all about the mojo.
