Guitars that you like just the way they came

Do you have any guitars that you have left stock? any guitars that came from the factory without needing anything changed?
Pickups? Electronics? frets? Hardware?

For me, its my USA EVH wolfgang HT
Plays like butter, pickups are awesome.....excellent guitar

I miss this one, it was one of 250 limited edition Gibson Les Paul Studios from the early 2000's. I sold it about 7 years ago now and I have regretted it ever since:

This was a rock guitar from headstock to strap button, through and through.

The EBMM Albert Lee HH. All I need to pick out is the color! For me, it's pretty perfect as-is.

Only thing I have ever done to it is add straplocks. Doesn't have a tone control, doesn't need one.

Mine was an Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Sport w/ Dimarzio's. I was very happy with it and regret getting rid of it every single day.

I agree with the EVH guitars that I have played.

Re: Guitars that you like just the way they came

My White USA Peavey Wolfgang Special is the 1st guitar in a while that I've liked 'as is' without needing to do much to it apart from a re-string.

Guitars that you like just the way they came...

I have never met one.

Re: Guitars that you like just the way they came

Squier VM J-Bass.

Sounded great at the store and played great. It's been more than five years, and all I've needed to do with this guitar is add a strap.

Re: Guitars that you like just the way they came

My Ovation B778TX textured acoustic bass. Though I'm still experimenting with strings...

And my Washburn D-20 acoustic guitar, but i had to replace nut and saddle, they were broken...that thing is 30 years old...

Other than that, only my Fleabass is original, but I'm not satisfied with the pickup...every other guitar i have has modded the sh** out of them...

Re: Guitars that you like just the way they came

I have a few.
But most interestingly, a 1990's Peavey Fury bass. Not a fancy or expensive bass, and I'd have expected the no-name P bass style pickup to be sub-par. But it has the most amazing classic P bass tone, with plenty of output and lots of clarity. No need to fix what isn't broke (though I confess I've done exactly that on a number of guitars just to get a greater variety of tones).

Someday I would like to buy one of these if I can ever find one for the right price:

But I am pretty sure I would change the pickups on it.

Re: Guitars that you like just the way they came

I have two. My JP-6. That's why I got it. It has everything I need. It's prefect as is. The other is a Schecter Damien Elite 8. It does the job I need it to do although I'm not very impressed by the 808 bridge. The neck 808 is great.

My most recent purchase...60th Anniversary 1954 Strat,
Epiphone '66 Wilshire with mini-hums,
Brian May (gold),
Fender Jazz Bass with tobacco burst flame maple top,
Ric 4001 bass.

Re: Guitars that you like just the way they came

How do you know the pickups it came with are best without trying other ones? No matter how good she is, couldn't it be better?
