Hehe..Willcutt is getting some really cool & unique Standards here and there. I've yet to see another tobaccoburst like mine though...weird. They have some killer braz board Korinas with vickys that I'd buy in a heartbeat if I had $3500 :grumble:

Hopefully Hamer will keep doing whatever they're doing, because I plan on having one of these babies one day. :D

I'll probably go for the Archtop, since I'm not willing to drop 24K on a Benedetto.

Actually, I like yours better :beerchug:

We should just change this into a Willcutt Hamer Stock appreciation thread. :lmao:

Here are the others I want.....

They do that pretty nicely. I love my tobaccobusrt, though I'm thinking a double cream PG set would look best in there....(I know I'd have to buy a covered PG set and *hope* they have double creams).

Gotta love the transblacks.

Interesting guitar if you like Explorers. The flame maple top is nice. I think the triple mini-HB's are a concept that should be tried more, as they leave more room for you to pick, and may not have the tone problems of a fullsize middle HB.

What's the 16 position tonestyler tone pot? That sounds interesting. Where can you get them? I hope its not like a Gibson vari-tone (which has lots of weak, puny sounds that are of debateable use).

The middle PU is blended in & out with a volume pot...that's a weakness in the system. Basically it's copying the slow & clumsy Gibson method on their LP Black Beauty or SG Custom. To go from bridge to middle, you have to turn down the bridge volume & turn up the middle volume. For playing on stage, it should be a single flip of a switch to go from one PU to the other. They've gone this far, they should have kept going & given it a fast way to get each PU activated.

All in all, some nice features on that guitar.

Hamer...

A class act no matter what style they make.

Re: Hamer Standard Gas (I know you want this, I know who you are....)

Nice guitars. Great finishes. I like the mini humbucker deal too.

Re: Hamer Standard Gas (I know you want this, I know who you are....)

This is my favorite look... black dyed figured maple with cream and chrome appointments. But I have to ask, on these Monaccos the heels look to be horribly designed... like there's a section of body someone forgot to remove in the cutaway. See what I mean? For those who have played one (I have not) is upper fret access really as terribly designed as it looks?

I do like that "tea" colored three mini-hum standard, though. Very nice looking guitar. Only 8 pounds, too.

It's about the same as your average LP. If anything, on a Monaco, I'm more comfortable on the higher frets, probably due to the longer scale.
