I have had a lot of play time with Michael Kelly guitars ---
Their necks and bodies are always very top notch fit and finish, very impressive.
I love their electronics and tonal options, they have two push pulls to split the humbuckers, and their stock pickups are really sweet sounding.
The weight and balance were great as well --- I didn't notice anything about it, so that's good.
Tuning stability is huge for me and all of the 4 or 5 I test drove were stable as a table.
I really like them --- the only reason I didn't get one is because I think they're ugly (no pickup rings, ugly knobs, ugly pickups, flashy abalone binding everywhere)
I ended up with the least flashy guitar in the universe (Dot Studio, matte brown stain, matte black "binding," doesn't even have fret markers :laughing

so the above qualms are purely a matter of aesthetic taste.
If you don't think they're ugly, then go for it!
The Custom you mentioned is by far the least ugly of the bunch!
Cliffs: Great Value!
