I bought a Schecter C-1+ A while back from a pawn shop, for about $150, perfect condition, excluding a crappy wiring job from the previous owner.
The previous owner had replaced the bridge duncan-designed pickup with another -real- seymour duncan pickup, which has no labeling on it whatsoever.
Anyways, I bought a set of blackouts, and pulled out the old pickups in the schecter, and completely rewired the guitar with the blackouts, and i'm loving it, but I'm still wondering what this pickup is that I pulled out of the guitar?
Here are pictures of it.
It has a metal (colored nickel?) cover, the color of the cover is a tannish/black/brown color, 6 pole pieces, obviously passive, sounded a bit on the trebly/bright end in a mahogany guitar with flamed maple top, had a decent amount of gain, was very good for 'shredding' (tapping, sweeping, etc.).
On the back of the pickup, it's black, with 5 brass/copper screws, reads Seymour Duncan, and has the seymour duncan logo, as well as "made in america" on it.
The wires coming out of the pickup are green with wire on the outside (ground), red, white, and black.
If any of you can help identify what it is, i'd appreciate it, it's a nice pickup, and I'm just wondering what it is? :banghead:
