help troubleshooting a problem

A'ite, I just put together my new "super-tele", but I got one problem.

Every time I touch the tone pot, a whole lot of noise is introduced into the signal. If I touch the strings at the same time, the effect is lessned, but still definately there. I've triple-checked the wiring, and it checks out.

I'm far too lazy to try and figure it out on my own, so, consensus? Do i got a bad pot? I've been workin on this damn thing for 8 hours. I'm tired.

Re: help troubleshooting a problem

Maybe its the pot. Maybe a wire is being pinched in the mount?

Maybe take the pot loose from the mount, and press/wiggle/manipulate it and see it the noise still occurs while not mounted.

Re: help troubleshooting a problem

:lmao: Problems there, man? LOL LOL. See, when you build a new guitar, they instantly think they are the new number 1. They don't realize that you, the creator, have others and one of them is number 1. New ones need a lesson taught to them, even if it means ripping out their guts for a while...LOL.
