As you will all see, I've been out of playing the guitar for like 5 years. I just decided to take it back up again, but I am so out of the loop on everything. I need an amp, and was looking at the Peaveyy vypyr 30, the Marshall MG 30, and a Line 6 30 watt something or other. They all have and input for an mp3 player, which is what i am looking for. Can anyone direct me in the best direction. Classic rock, kiss, vh, acdc, heavy blues, blues are what i basically play.

Thanks

The MG series is decent if its just for practice and such. the peavey I can't account for, but personally, it does nothing for me. Check out the vox valvetronix line. ive heard good things.

Yea, I would definitely give the valvetronix line a look. Ive demo'ed all the small moddelers i could find recenty and the ones you mentioned among them and the vox is easily the best of them. they actually use a 12ax7 as a power tube which is kinda different. built really rugged. i like peavey amps, but the vyper series just seems plain cheaply put together to me. line6 is a bit better but isnt like the vox.
