Re: HELP WITH AMP PRICES. i´ll buy my tube AMP
I wish I could, however, the problem is that it isn't home, the one I got had a broken tube, and I tried to get the shop to send me new tubes, but they wanted the whole amp back, and said they wanted to give me a new one, so I don't know when I'll get it. And I don't have a cabinet for it yet, however, there is another dude on this board that also owns this amp (and the cabinet designed for it), his username is "matt_transition" (I talked to him about it before), I bet he could make some soundclips.
But based on Iommi's recordings and live recordings, I wanted it.
Here is matt_transition's description of it:
"The first thing to say is this amp is one loud mofo, i wish they also made a 50w or better still a 30w model. The amount of gain you can get out of this is unbelievable, perfectly suitable for anyone for a hunger for high gain. When i use it live it really cuts through the mix, while maintaining a powerful sound.
Don't be disappointed that this amp admittedly doesn't sound too great at bedroom volume, you need to get it to about Vol 2 (not easy at home) for it to really kick in. If you listen to recent Tony Iommi recordings that IS what this amp sounds like, but be warned he does use 4 and has endless cabs and has his voulme on 7!!
The resonance switch adds a low end growl that tightens up the low end for that chugga, chugga sound. The bright switch is like a presence switch for opening up the high end, the bass switch just adds more roundness to the low end.
This amp has a more modern and darker rock sound than your standard Marshall. But don't think it stops there, i've been able to even pull off Classic Van Halen and Guns N Roses sounds with this beast. I don't think you will disappointed."
