Help with replacement bridge pickup

I am a fusion guitarist and I just purchased an Ibanez JEM7V. I love the way the neck and middle pickup sound but I do not like the bridge pickup(DiMarzio Evolution), to bright.

My other Ibanez guitar is a 1990 Vinne Moore model that I had both pickups replaced with 59’s two weeks after I purchased it, which was recommend by Scott Henderson at the time.

I love the way the ‘59 bridge pickup sounds. Lots of smooth sustain.

So I decided to do install a ’59 in the JEM. I am not happy with the results.
The new ‘59 sounds weak compared to the 1990 version. I also noticed that the 1990 has adjustable screws on both coils, something I have not seen in a while. I wonder if these two pickups are even the same.

I am thinking about going with a JB or just putting the Evo back in.

Not sure if output has anything to do with it but here are some specs:
‘59 D.C. Resistance is 8.13
‘JB is 16.4
DiMarzio Evo is 13.84.

All ideas welcome?

Thanks.

Well, I'm no Duncan expert, but I really wonder if your 1990 "59" really is a 59. The 59 was designed to capture the classic PAF look and sound. Dual screws and smooth sustain sounds like a completely different pickup. I'm thinking it might be a Gibson Dirty Fingers, but that's a wild guess.

2 rows of screw are not a 59, but could be also the SH-AH1 Allan Holdsworth model too (is not in the standard product line anymore, only on custom order basis availiable).
