Help with the push/pull option on the Everything Axe set

Re: Help with the push/pull option on the Everything Axe set

Not sure what you mean by "bypass on switch for neck". What do you want to accomplish?

Re: Help with the push/pull option on the Everything Axe set

Want to be able to click on the neck pickup with the bridge, the mid or all three. Found a scheme for a push/pull pot wiring to kick it on but I need to just use a switch. I had my other guitar rigged up with an extra switch to turn on the bridge. A unique combination on a Strat, the bridge and neck. I do wish S Duncan would have added the push/pull parallel-series pot on the neck as well, that would be very nice to add as well. I also located a smaller mini black metal knob to fit on the volume to give me some space between the bridge and volume control. Just could not get my hand in position like I am used to, resting on the bridge when picking.

Simple bypass wired jumper on the 5 way switch block to a SPST switch that turns on the neck pickup regardless of where the 5 way positioned.
A pretty common option for a Strat.
Update:
I added in the bypass switch on the Everything Axe assembly. Did not turn out as expected really. The combination of the neck HB and the Bridge is a bit much and not sure if the tone is that useful unless you roll the level off. Still experimenting with it, also allows all 3 pickups to be on as well. Just another tone option for the Strat. I had one on my other config but it was a straight on single coil which seemed to work better, The Neck on the Everything Axe is quite powerful, I think a better option would be the series/parallel option SD has on the Bridge pickup. I do not trust my wiring skills to interfere in the factory wiring to that extent, makes me wonder why Seymour did not add another push/pull on the neck and have that option as well, maybe they tried it and it was not as good as the bridge pickup option.
So kids, moral of this story don't worry so much about adding a neck on bypass switch to the Everything Axe, it does not work as well as theory suggests.
It is a marvelous config as is, if you always wanted your Strat to be able to burn like full on humbuckler drives into high gain, the Everything Axe rig is very cool to have. It makes for a great addition to my various Strat combinations.
