Here's Some Of My Guitar Collection

Re: Here's Some Of My Guitar Collection

I tell ya man. One of the reasons besides I liked the look of it is, I've only seen like 2 other Les Pauls like that quilted peacokk. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. It still has the original pickups in it. They actually sound pretty darn good in it, but I think I need to throw my 10k antiquity in it...I'm just too lazy I reckon. Anyways, thanks guys!! I love these guitars. The Amber is my #1 and I do 90% of my playin on it and bout 60% -70% of my recordin on it. Honestly, I really can't complain. I bought my first electric guitar just 6 yrs ago. I'm pretty sastified for now.

I remember about a year ago when you got the Tobacco sunburst one (correct me if it wasn't ~a year). I thought that it was my fave, but looking again, I think the amber is the best.

You are correct sir, it was about a year or so ago. I'd like to give a BIG thank you to Jeff H for that. I didn't have a computer at the time, and I had seen that guitar on Ebay while I was at my folk's house. I called him up and gave him all my passwords on Ebay and Paypal so it could be purchased. Needless to say, he's very trustworthy, a dork, but very trustworthy. Anyways, the Amber one is my number 1 guitar. It's had more play than any of my guitars. It's actually jammed onstage with Seymour. It has a Jazz/Jazz combo in it.

LOL...It's a 2006. It still has the stock 500T/496R in it. I've been seriously thinkin bout changin them to a gold covered set of Phat Cats....just for the hell of it.:)

Re: Here's Some Of My Guitar Collection

Pretty satisfied....for now?? That's a nice collection there, Jolly.

I guess you're the man to ask. What's your opinion with the LP Standards? I played one yesterday for the first time ever (I have a swamp ash Studio model) and to say I loved it was an understatement. I don't want to make a hasty decision, so any info you could pass on would be great.

Re: Here's Some Of My Guitar Collection

Sweet axes, JOLLY. The amber one is my favorite. That's the same finish as my Epi Standard Plus so I guess you could say I'm a bit biased there. :)

Honestly? I'm a Classic player. I have nothing against Standards, but I'm just a classidc player. GJ's one of the dude's you may need to ask that question. Sorry I'm not of any help on those.

Boring!

*alters plans for stealing Jolly's White Falcon to include stealing a few others in the process*

Yes! I was gonna say. Every LP lovers usually only swear by the standards (at least does who can afford one), it was very peculiar to see that all your LP were classics. But really, really sweet axes BTW. I got a wee preference for the quilted blue one... amazing look.

But I was wondering, are you still playing all of your guitars, choosing which one to play with the mood of the day, or are you rather set on a few favs?

I do switch up and play different ones. My two favorites to play all the time are my Amber Les Paul Classic and my cherry SG Junior. I absolutely adore the SG Junior and it's one of the least expensive guitars I own. Anyways, those two guitars are always out and in reaching distance. Other than those, I've been playing my Flying V alot lately. I've also been playing my Brian Moore i88.13 a bit as well, because I've been messing around with my Roland GR-33 guitar synthesizer.
