idsnowdog says that his hex screws were smaller in diameter...yours too??? Mine were the same if not bigger (by an almost immeasurable amount). The threading appears to be slightly tighter on the hex screws but it is very hard for me to see the difference.
Just to reiterate that these hex screws will not destroy your pickup, here is what I did: I turned them counter until i felt the drop in the treading, then I screwed them in carefully with very little pressure needed. I spun them almost all the way just by twirling my finger around an allen key, I used slightly more force when they got almost all the way in, meaning I actually gripped the key with two fingers but did not need to force anything. If the threading on the bobbin is plastic though I guess it wouldn't take much to shred it.
I'm not sure how we can resolve this, I guess use addiction-fx hex screws at your own risk.
