Home studio help?

Hello, recently redid my setup and immediately noticed a sound difference. Now I'm a beginner to recording in general so if someone could help me out that would be awesome.
I read online and saw that if you put your monitors against the wall it will create a lot of bass, and since I really like how this setup feels and looks I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of that unwanted bass. I was listening to a few songs and holy crap that's a lot of bass. I couldn't even listen to the whole song it was just too much. It sounded like the song was in slow motion but it was playing regularly. It was horrible. Would acoustic panels put behind the monitors help? If so what size? Also I do have a glass desk and I don't know if that does anything at all. I know it's a little more reflection

Below are some pictures of my setup.

What could I do to help improve the sound quality?

I would get that PC and it's fans in another room or an isolation cabinet first. Then move the desk and speakers out from the wall and corner. Oriented so you are facing the corner is good, but just get the whole thing back from the wall. Then either put bass traps in the corner or roll a few floor-to-ceiling height carpets up and jam them into the corner as a bass trap. I'd also look into some diffusors to get rid of standing waves. Need to measure your room to calculate what the waves would be and what treatment is needed.

Definitely get that Pc down. Don;t know how loud it is but...I find I don't need mine 'isolated' just down and away from me.

The ideal spot usually is about 1/3 of the room in from the wall. Of course in many of our small rooms this is impossible. My monitors are against a wall and I utilize it's room control switch to combat some of that. Bass traps and stuff behind the speakers will help for sure. But your better off treating your room as a whole rather than just trying to get 'less bass'.

Also looks like your monitors (speakers) are on crates? you want them on something with some mass as well as some foam (decouplers) as your transferring alot of bass that way too.
