Coil splitting the stack might not do what you expect. Stacks are wound hot because of the volume loss due to phase cancelation. So it will get louder.
Are you doing this to hum cancel with the bridge?
Since they are both humbuckers, a better idea is series/parallel for each pickup.
Now you will switch from the full output and tone to a brighter slightly lower output like a single coil, while retaining the hum cancellation.
