Hot Rail and stack coil split with mini switches

I am building a telecaster and have purchased a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail bridge and Stack neck pickup. I would like to coil split these pickups with 2 mini switches, what type of mini switches would i need and how would i wire this?

I think you need single-pole double-throw (SPDT) on/on switch. The switch has 2 positions and 3 lugs to wire to. Solder the 2 wires that are usually taped together (white & red for Duncans) to the middle lug and a ground to the top or bottom lug. When the switch is thrown the coil wired to the switch is grounded out.

Coil splitting the stack might not do what you expect. Stacks are wound hot because of the volume loss due to phase cancelation. So it will get louder.

Are you doing this to hum cancel with the bridge?

Since they are both humbuckers, a better idea is series/parallel for each pickup.

Now you will switch from the full output and tone to a brighter slightly lower output like a single coil, while retaining the hum cancellation.

But if the north start is the hot output, then how do i connect just the south coil? would i connect south start as hot output?
