How about a photo thread?

Re: How about a photo thread?

LivingDead, that yellow guitar of yours is so far from what I'd play I can't even begin to describe it.... but it's by far one of my favorite guitars on this forum. Love seeing pictures of it.

Re: How about a photo thread?

my reactions to the collections in thread are best suited to 'beautiful agony'

Re: How about a photo thread?

'85 Roadstar - Jazz/59 in the neck, tuned to Eb, monster tone. '86 Proline - SSL2s and 59/C. Don't really need a Strat now; bucker is sweet.

Martin LX1 for travelling and Admira Virtuoso (cedar top; good guitar for the $$).

Also have my first guitar (plywood POS) and first electric, but they're for the scrap heap and not worth showing :).

Re: How about a photo thread?

I've had a lot of good pickups in the honey flame 2001 LP Premium Plus.

It'll probably keep the first run Brobucker/PGn it has. IMO, that's the best SD humbucker set for a LP;

I am intrigued by the Pearly Gates pick ups. Never tried em though.

Re: How about a photo thread?

It looks like I'm going to have to do this properly now. There are some damned fine axes turning up on here.

Re: How about a photo thread?

Modest rig these days, but finally very happy with what I have and how it sounds as-is. Just needs me a phaser, clean boost, and a wampler 65 for the icing on the pedal cake.

Re: How about a photo thread?

My Crate head/ Vypyr cab is in a crowded area so couldn't get a good pic (nothing special)

Here's the list so far....
(Wow, my bedding is straight BLACK, don't know how it came out purple)

Re: How about a photo thread?

i have lots of pix for such a small collection. i'm a shutterbug i guess.

sunny - my first serious guitar. yamaha FG700S. he's pretty nice for how inexpensive he was.
sunny.jpg

mitzie - my 'official' first electric guitar. partscaster strat, MIJ body, MIM 50s RI neck, blue/silver/red lace sensors.
mitzie.jpg

ursula - my 'unofficial' first electric, and first bass. 'unofficial' because she was here in this house before mitzie and i did play her a teeny bit before we built mitzie, but she wasn't really mine until recently. ibanez SR400, EMG P/J.
ursula.jpg

rosalind (rosie) - my most recent acquisition and favorite noodler at the moment (don't tell mitzie, because she's pretty wicked too). les paul studio plus, gibson 490R/498T (for now...SD JB/jazz patiently awaiting installation). she's soooo pretty.
rosie.jpg

the whole family....
famdamily.jpg

and, just for fun, the photo-crasher in the upper right corner of the family pic. her name is naamari, which is the finnish word for "mask".
naams.jpg

more sh!ts 'n' giggles...my very first POS, a christmas gift from my parents when i was 13. it's half unstrung now because of string breakage and floppiness...we gave it some open tuning so it wouldn't be so grating when my kid made noise on it, which is its new purpose. the case lid may become wall art in the hypothetical recording studio when we buy a house.

2. Not even remotely cheap or nasty - Yamaha SA2200

2565136994_b165157ac9_o.jpg

3. ****ed expensive and very nice indeed - Paul Reed Smith 'Custom 22' Artist

2565137202_f64aa9fe1d_o.jpg

4. A little old, a little battered but absolutely priceless in my eyes - Yamaha MSG Standard

2564312601_9983ed458b_o.jpg

5. A Warmoth Telecaster

2567297433_0ec205eb14_o.jpg

6. A Warmoth Stratocaster

2567297575_71c67e5585_o.jpg

7. A Paul Reed Smith 'Soapbar' SE - one of their Korean range, nice and light and ideal for those Green Day moments

2567297809_20827f6ca2_o.jpg

8. Fender 'Lonestar' Stratocaster - Got this one when the MSG was in two pieces in 2000

2567298041_c9e6d6550e_o.jpg

9. Tokai 'Loverock' DCII - a big bruiser of a guitar, massively powerful sound, rips up palm trees and picks its teeth with them...

2568120420_c00913b94d_o.jpg

10. Cort A5 Bass - Doesn't get out much, think my hands are a bit small for bass playing to be honest, but it looks good, so what the hell

2568120720_3c00a43447_o.jpg

11. Yamaha LL-400 - one of their handmade range. Beautiful sound and by far the nicest acoustic I have

2568120910_a50ec27d63_o.jpg

...and yes, it did get wet whilst I was taking this shot.

12. Peavey 'Cropper' Classic

13. Crafter GAB-21ST Acoustic Bass

14. Fender 'Classic Players' Baja Telecaster

15. Ovation '2001' Collectors Edition

18. Paul Reed Smith 513 (2011 model)

And in the spirit of growing the collection... #19 and the PRS SE Korina

This is a nice round #20 with a 2012 Gibson SG Standard

Lastly, 'El Cheapo' and the Cort Source which is #21

Re: How about a photo thread?

Chris of Arabia: all your guitars are nice but your PRSs are just a work of art!

:bling:

Gearjoneser: I totally agree on colored pups. I really dig my blue on blue scheme on my Carvins. Got another Carvin ready to order and will of course place some colored pups in it as well!

Can you blame me for buying this pink/yellow Screamin' Demon at the 2011 SDUGD?
