How are you powering your pedalboard?

Re: How are you powering your pedalboard?

I think I've decided to use the BBE Supa Charger to power my 8 smaller effects, then just use 2 Boss PSA-120s... one to power up my Boss delay pedal and the other to power my Zoom 5000. Those new power adapters supply 500 mA and the DD-20 uses almost 200mA already. The Zoom uses about 110mA. It's going to be a little less tidy than I wanted it, but I think it'll have to do. Luckily for me, I don't think I have any pedals that require different polarities or voltages.

Up until the other day, I always just assumed that "If the pedals all light up, everything must be okay". I think that was a mistake in my thinking.

Ideally, I wish there was a power supply that had 10 ten individually isolated power inputs rated at 300mA each, with dip switches that would adjust each input from either 9-12 volts. And it would maybe have the torroidal transformer as well.

Until then, I'll just go with plan B.

Re: How are you powering your pedalboard?

I've used a One Spot for about 2 or 3 years until it quit on me for no reason. I switched to a Dunlop brick and surprisingly it reduced alot of my hum I wasn't even aware i was getting with the 1 Spot.

Do you think the 1 spot would hum if I used it to power just 9 volt battery-style pedals?

What if I just needed a 1 spot for a single power adapter and not a daisy chain?

Given the One Spot cost $30 or so and you can get a typical 9v adapter for $10 or I can't see it make much sense to use the One Spot unless you do need to daisy chain several pedals. Thats the only way that makes it cost effective
