How do you pronounce "Epiphone"?

I say it the same way, except the second *i* gets pronounced more like an
*auh* sound than a soft *i* sound ... I've heard epi reps say it the same way ... I don't know what the correct way is exactly. interestinly, when people say it abbreviated *epi*, what I say, and hear most often is that second *i* gets pronounced as a long *ee*.

Some of my friends say it like I do, some say it like you do. Although, like you I don't think I've every heard anyone call it an Epah or Epuh for short.
I think it's one of those I say to-ma-tos, you say to-mah-tos things. As long as you don't call Nirvana, Nirvaaaaaana (with a hard A), I don't care
God I hate it when people do that.

think "epic" just without the "c" and then "phone"... that's how I pronounce it.

It was on some interview I saw. He even broke it down into cylibles like that. I only remember it because a friend of mine kept insisting it was pronounced without the "ah" sound, when we saw the interview I jumped up and down on the sofa mocking and laughing at him until he kicked my feet out and we thumped each other around for a bit.
