Maybe a hockey stick? Is that too 80s Super strat? I personally like Warmoth’s 3+3 headstock better than USACG’s 3+3. I think the strat headstocks look like poop on that guitar.

One thing to be careful of is the neck length and neck pocket specs. I have no idea about a JS model, but I know that you could not interchange a Warmoth or USACG neck with an RG neck, unless they specifically told you they can completely recreate it.

This just has a regular strat pocket, not an All Access joint. I'm still going to take the neck off and measure the pocket before I place any kind of order though.

This is a JS600. I don't remember what model had the P90s in it.

AJ, what options are you choosing to make a Warmoth come out more expensive than a USACG? Base price, Warmoth's are cheaper. I know some of Warmoth's contours are extra but I just don't see the big difference.

I just got done doing specs for my Tele project and the neck came out $33.00 cheaper for Warmoth. I didn't choose any additional options, just plain jane maple/maple Tele neck with a boat contour.

For your guitar though, I'd stick with an Ibanez shape or a Jackson headstock would look pretty good.

Ahh, I see that one now. Yeah, I would probably go with the lower cost too. I like maple/maple or maple/rosewood with the boat contour and Warmoth has it lower so that's what I'm gonna go with on it. Luckily for me I like one of their standard profiles. Different strokes for different folks. I just wish USA offered more peghead options.

I can definitely see going Warmoth if you like their standard options. I'm personally obsessed with the Wolfgang asymmetrical countour, and have "The '54" shape on my strat's neck (tapers from a soft V to a C as you travel up the neck). I also prefer a straight radius, somewhere in the 9.5"-14" range, usually a 12".

I definitely wish USA had more pegheads. You can always ask about custom ones, but again that's the kind of thing they upcharge for.

I have big hands and long fingers, hence why I love the boat contour. It's like holding a baseball bat...lol.

I wouldn't do the Strat h/s, either. I'd leave it stock or go with a Jackson or Explorer type.

Yeah, I like thicker necks too. That's one thing I REALLY like about USA, you can not only pick a contour for no upcharge, but you can also tell them what thickness you want for no upcharge. They have a few base options but you can tell them you want the asymmetrical contour that starts @ .900" at the first fret if you wanted.

I like the Ibanez headstocks... always have..one of my faves...

I personally dont care for anything but 6 in a line on a Strat or tele like instrument...
