This is inspired by sosomething's original contest.
Here's the first contest.
Here are the results of said contest.
Your goal, good people of the Internet, is to identify which guitar/pickup I am playing in each of these clips. Here they are:
Riff I
Riff II
Riff III
Riff IV
The guitars, in ascending date order of me making their acquaintance:
Fender Stratocaster, poplar body, rosewood fretboard, SD Crazy 8.
Fender Telecaster, basswood body, rosewood fretboard, SD Hot Tele Stack.
Warmoth LP, mahogany/maple body, ebony fretboard, SD Pearly Gates.
Fender Stratocaster, alder body, maple fretboard, SD Cool Rails.
Each guitar was recorded with the bridge pickup by itself, and all applicable volume and tone controls on 10. I did my best to play the riff the same way each time. The amp is a Vox VT30 and the settings are the same for each guitar. There is no post processing at all. You are hearing the guitar with the bridge pickup full on into an amp. That's it.
Post your guess in this thread. One guess per person.
This will work the same as soso's contest. Two out of four correct gets you one entry into the draw. All four correct gets you two entries.
I will close the contest on Saturday at 12 PM Pacific Time. I will make the draw that weekend.
A prize? Oh yes, there will be a prize. The winner gets a choice between one of the following:
1. a $20 discount on either the RAPTOR (the FTL Drive Lite) or the upcoming HEART OF GOLD (a dual od/distortion currently on the drawing board).
2. a MYSTERY PRIZE!
