How much can I sell a jcm800 for

Hey guys
I bought a jcm800 that was heavily modded about 7-8 years ago. This year it crapped out on me and I had it restored to stock and gave it a fresh set of power tubes. Unfortunately I live in an apartment and it only gets turned on a couple times a year. I've been considering putting it up for sale on my local gear swap Facebook page and I was wondering what I can get for it. Everything inside is stock but the front plate has some dummy knobs as well as the back.
Thanks

Sounds like you needed to play it with a power attenuator.

This thread belongs in Amplifier Central.

Go on guitarcenter.com and search their used section for 800's in similar condition.

Go on Craigslist and do that very same thing.

Go on eBay and advanced search sold listings and do that very same thing.

Even with an attenuator its too loud for an apartment, i can guarantee that.

Which model / year? The Reverb price guides are usually pretty good. However I find it astounding what these amps go for now...I've bought 2 in the last 8 years and never payed over a grand CAN.

Pic of the back? S/N and I can date it no problem.

Metal switch vertical input are more desirable. You're in Canada I assume

i just noticed on the back plate there is a model section. its a 2204
and yeah i am in canada.

the input was modded into the back, there was a footswitch jack aswell. the array of holes to the left of the speaker jack was an effects loop.

on the front, the switch furthest to the left was a high/low power toggle. the knob to the right of the jcm800 logo was "resonance" the switch beside the gain was for clean/dist channel switching. the inputs on the front used to be knobs to go with the knobs to the right of the input jacks for the clean channel and lastly the knob furthest to the right was for a lead boost.

like i said before all the mods have been ripped out and everything was put back to stock down to the colour of the wires. obviously i expect this to devalue the amp.

edit: didnt see a s/n. is it inside?

Nice! Stock /Modded / Un-modded don't seem to make a massive difference, it really depends on what was done. However, expect holes to devalue it a little bit.

The Serial is on the back, etched/ stamped in, usually with "S" or "S/A" written beside it.
