How much is a Marshall 1936 2x12 worth?

There is a guy trying to sell said cabinet + a Peavey XXX for $600. If I like the XXX enough, I'm gonna buy it, but I'm gonna keep my cabinet. How much should I offer him for just the XXX? I was thinking $300. The cab is going for $350 all day long on Ebay, but I'd like to have your opinion first.

Typically "things" cost more when sold separately.
If you just want the head, I would forget about what the cabs sell for. How much are guys getting for the amps.?

Ive seen thiose cabinets loaded with origianl G12-65's. If thats the case, then snap that cabinet up like theres no tommorw ( try it frst, many of those old speakers are shot).

$300 is pretty reasonable, they are selling for $350 pretty consistently.

Also keep in mind that the vintage 1936 cabs were made of plywood, but the recent ones are MDF construction. The older plywood cabs go for more money than the later MDF type. I don't know exactly when the change in construction came about, I think it might have been in the 900 series era, maybe someone here knows more about this than me.
