How Much Would You Pay For A NOS Peavey 5150 4x12 Straight Cabinet?

I know they're not the greatest cabinets in the world. I ran my Marshall JVM through my 5150 slant cabinet before I ever got my Marshall cabinets. It didn't sound super good through it, but it wasn't all that bad. However, I really like the way my 5150 sounds through it. I mean afterall, they were designed together.

I've found that the 5150 straight cabinets are kinda hard to come by. It's even harder to find one in decent shape. So how much would you pay for a basically new old stock one?

:friday: ha ha ha... i don't know wht the going rate is really... but you had such a great deal with the amp, if the cab is rare... you should get it anyway and then you've got a matching cab! To have a full stack is awesome... I know 'coz I've just done the same with my rig! :cool2:

Well that blows!! I just got back from the guitar store and it was a freakin 5150 II cabinet.

But on the bright side of things, I got to spend an hour with a good ole friend of mine. He and I were best friends growing up as kids. He sells insurance and his place is right next door to the shop I went to. His dad was in there too and I haven't seen Mr. Wilson in years. So it turned out to be alright afterall.
