And you can't play Blackmore on an unscalloped neck because .........???
OK, I suppose it would be an interesting project to try if you had a throw-away neck and a lot of time on your hands. I've done a lot of stuff to a lot of guitars, but I wouldn't try that on anything worth money.
You do know you will have to learn new fretting techniques in order to play it? I played one of the malmsteen models a long time ago and you really had to watch or you'd bend notes sharp when you were just trying to fret them.
