How to set-up and 'care' for a marshall half stack?

Re: How to set-up and 'care' for a marshall half stack?

usual rules and guidlines for tube amp operation apply. you'll learn as you go, my first tube amp was a valve jr head and it eventually died due to being connected via guitar lead instead of speaker cable. luckily that was only a $99 head

Take right forearm, swipe over all pots for initial setup :)

Do not walk away with the guitar plugged into the head on top of a full stack.

If it tips, do not try to catch it.

Can you describe exactly how I'd clean up the pots?

I'm not quite sure I understand what you'd be trying to do?

Thanks

He was just being funny.......swipe them all to move them all to 10!! That's how the old Plexi's were run and sounded great. Kind of a Marshall thing.

I'm not saying cleaning.

I'm saying this is the fastest way to get them all to "10" (or "11", whatever your amp's highest setting is) :D

I keep mine covered when not in use. Very important when you move your amp out in rain/snow to keep it dry inside.
