Personally, I'd probably like them better in reverse: PG or 59 in the neck and a Distortion in the bridge. Mostly, it depends on what tone your shooting for, what styles you play and what kind of amp you use. More info would get you a better answer.

amp- palomino v16
blues, rock, some metal nothing too heavy
the duncan designed 103n is a neck pickup. i currently have a dimebucker in the bridge and someone wants to trade either a 59 or the PG. i dont like the dimebucker and the Duncan designed was just a free replacement for the stock epi pickup that was very muddy

i would say take the 59 or PG and replace the neck pickup. I have an hb 103 and cant find anything good about it in the neck

Hey Mitch, I have ex-inlaws in Davison but I won't hold it against you!

The DDn (103n) is a cool pickup and if you like the tone for the moment then keep it. I have a Les Paul with a Distortion set and I really dig the tones I get from the DDn. Balance-wise, the DDn is probably better suited for the Custom series, JB, Distortion or any of the 14k and up pickups but that doesn't mean it wont work for you with a PG or 59 in the bridge.

You just have to try it and see.
