$2999 is what I heard. Looks like a ton of fun.
More synth news - Arturia MatrixBrute. Monophonic, duophonic, and paraphonic modes. 3 osc, Steiner filter now 12 or 24db, Moog style diode ladder filter with lp, hp, bp, multiple routings for modulations, 256 preset storage, 64 step sequencer, arpeggiator, filters can be series or parallel routed, subosc, first two oscillators identical and allow mixing of multiple waveforms, 3rd osc have to choose waveform, but also can be 3rd lfo. Humongous potential with 12 cv outs and ins. Projected price - less than $2000 due for availability in June

On the Korg news it looks like the Korg Arp 2600 only rumours. No revealing this NAMM.
I bought a Korg Minilogue last Sunday though at $499. True polyphonic analog for affordable price. Really fun synth and all controls easy access. Has little oscilloscope display, 4 voice polyphonic. Multiple modes - poly, unison, duo, mono, delay, chord, arpeggiator, 16 step sequencer with 4 lanes of motion recording on knobs. 37 slim keys

Going through some of the OB-6 videos and could have sworn I heard part of the opening synth line to The Camera Eye Rush song. Awesome synth. Going to rethink purchases. Think I would rather have this one at $1000 or so more than the Matrixbrute. I would take my M-Audio Venom off the keyboard stand and drop this OB-6 in as master controller and killer sound engine. Prophet-6 or OB-6, that is the question.....

Available information suggests that the new OB-6 is, essentially, a design in the Oberheim tradition that happens to be built by Dave Smith Instruments.
