I am desperate and need your HELP (guitar noise)

Everytime I move, my LP makes very very very annoying noise. I tried all I could do for months but I can't fix it. I do all the wiring by myself and my strats do not have this problem. Please listent to this clip www.wonsuckchoi.com/mp3/noise.mp3

Can anyone know how to fix this? Sometime I just want to throw my guitar away through window. It's very annoying and I am so stressed out. Please help me before I go nuts.

Don't throw the guitar out the window, throw the cat instead. LOL

Why throw it out the window if you could turn it into a stew?

Have you checked the cord plug? It sounds like a loose conection between the cable and the guitar. Try to shake the cable while you stand still...

Re: I am desperate and need your HELP (guitar noise)

Check the connection of your output jack. The output jack on my strat worked itself loose one time creating alot of crackling noise. After checking the connection and tightening it back up, the noise was gone.

brisk; is that happening as you move your fingers around on the guitar? If it is, its static discharge. I have that same problem on two of my guitars. Its a hard problem to deal with. Wiping the pickguard down with a dryer sheet, (fabric softener thingy), may help.

If it does that while you're holding still, then it may be something different. But it sounds exactly like the static discharge that mine does.

Definitely check the output jack of the guitar.
If everything is ok there, then open up the back and check all solder joints for cold joints.

I'd like to help, really I would, but I only come here to check topics for new info...

Something that happened last week taught me how foolish it is to share my thoughts on the internet, which is really a shame cause I've been a professional musician since about 1980 and have just a lil' bit of experience. ;)

Good luck on your problem though :newangel:

Then why bother posting at all? You posted just to say you aren't posting? Your input is appreciated just like everyone else on this board. Get over the thing with warmoth, if you have beef with them, take it up with them privately. The guys on this forum or the admins have nothing to do with that situation. You posting just to say you're witholding advice is pretty juvenile in my opinion and falls on deaf ears, the forum isn't going to fall apart because of it.

Re: I am desperate and need your HELP (guitar noise)

Please confine posts that have nothing to do with the thread over on the Off Topic page. Thanks.

Re: I am desperate and need your HELP (guitar noise)

Could be a ground, dirty pot or dirty 3 way. What are you doing when the noise occurs?

Re: I am desperate and need your HELP (guitar noise)

try a different amp? agreed, it does sound like its on the guitar side of things, but it can't hurt to check :D

It almost sounds like a scratchy pot, but it's hard to tell without really knowing what you're doing as it's making the noise.
