Re: I bought a Tele today
I'd dump the Lace Sensors and go with either a set of the Duncan Antiquity Texas Hots with the Antiquity Custom bridge or a set of Lindy Fralin Vintage Hots...maybe with a Fralin Steel Pole 43 as the bridge pickup. Those are my two favorite Strat sets, what I use in my own Strats and they should sound great in the James Burton, which is basically a hardtail Strat with a Tele body. The JB I'm interested in is not a three pickup JB tho...it's the MIM version that looks like a regular Tele. Lew

I really like the idea of strat type pickups into wood on a Tele shape.
Plus, the neck kicks A on those!
Those Lace Sensors would be in the junk drawer the first day, tho.
Lew, what would you put in a James Burton Tele?
