I give up on gain pedals.....(mini-rant)

I give up on gain pedals. Boosters, overdrives, distortions....everytime I try one I really like it at first, then I figure out how to make my amp sound more or less the same without it. After awhile I find I start to prefer the amps natural version of that tone to the pedal+amp version, and it eventually degrades to the point where I really can't stand hearing the pedal anymore. I can still apreciate how "good" it sounds, but my ears just don't like listening to it.

Anyway, I give up on them. The only "gain" pedal I need is my volume pedal.

Always had the exact same problem, be glad we have great amps that we don´t need those things if we don´t want them :beerchug:
