I hate Rondo Music

Re: I hate Rondo Music

I heard there not bad quality. Or is that higher up the price scale?

Jessie's Ghost doesn't know the power of Rondo.

The first one is an alder bolt-on, but the other two are nice guitars. For the Les Pauls, you want to go up to the Agile line.

Re: I hate Rondo Music

If they're that good, they should be able to stand up under scrutiny in dealerships. C'mon, Rondo, let's see 'em!

:banghead:

The reason they're priced so low is that they deal directly. No advertising of any sort, just word of mouth.

Re: I hate Rondo Music

That's why I'm asking. I mean, is a $119 Rondo better than a $299 Epiphone?

If you want to compare directly, the $119 Rondo arched top bolt on is way ahead of the $179 Epiphone flat top bolt-on as far as quality and tone.

The $225 Agile AL-2000 is better than a $499+ Epiphone.

Re: I hate Rondo Music

I have no experience with their guitars, but I made the mistake of buying one of their pedal boards/cases. I swear, the thing couldn't fall apart fast enough.

They've had these for a long time and I really like it. Especially the finish. I haven't played any of the newer Agiles, but the look really great on the site. Not that that speaks for much... I wouldn't imagine them being any lesser quality than the epis going for twice the price, nothing against epi's.

Edit:

I just saw this one that I've been eying up for a very long time. A really sweet PRS knock off...

also, This guitar is going for $225. How can they do that?

did you gig hard with it? I've taken mine to a slew of gigs and jams where I wasn't too genteel with it. I've been pretty happy with mine. It's definitely worth the 30 bucks.

I don't know what "gig hard" means, but yes I did take it to gigs. The latches broke within two months of purchase.

From now on I use a sturdy case with recessed latches or nothing at all.

The $399 Agile AL-3100 is better than the $600 epi "plus tops" as well.

I'm an agile supporter, and I like Epi, too. With Epi, I feel like you're just paying more money for Les Paul's name on the headstock. I own an AL-3100 and an Epi Std. and I have to say I like the cheaper agile more. It's heavier, has a slightly chunkier neck profile (I got the AL-3100 "wide"), an ebony fretboard which I think gives some nice sizzle, and nicer binding. There's even binding on the headstock on the agile. It's great.

Everything else on rondo besides the Agiles, I could pass on.
