Young Angus
Kometose Tonologist
What the heck is going on here, I was convinced a few weeks ago that my Komet was still stuffed and I was going to ship it back to the guys in the states to have a proper look at it, and I just turned it on and plugged it into my ENGL cab (vintage 30's) which I half expected to sound worse than the old Marshall cab with original 70's greenbacks in it, but it sounded superb!!!
I swear that amp is just playing with my emotions, whenever I expect it to sound crap it sounds good, and vice versa! I must admit it was with my strat that it sounded good and then when I plugged in my les paul it sounded like poo...well not total poo, but no where near as clear as my strat which had a JB bridge/virtual vintage blues middle/virtual vintage solo neck, but it sounded really good. I think there might be something funny with the power down at the rehearsal studio that I used it at last because it was there that it sounded pox, but maybe it just liked the vintage 30's better than the greenbacks. Well soon I'll have a g12h30 cab so that should go even nicer with it...the Komet looks a bit silly sitting on top of an ENGL cab :smack:
A hundred bucks says next time I turn it on it sounds terrible!
