I´'m new

Hi.. I am new to the Group. I live in England and have been playing guitar for about 5 years. I bought my first electric 2 years ago and believe I was very lucky in my choice as I bought second hand with only a very basic knowledge. What influenced me was its (to me) stunning good looks (maple caramel sunburst on mahogany body and neck), the very easy to play fret board , the sound when plugged in and the fact that it was very comfortable to play sitting down -quite important for me. Also it was relatively inexpensive especially after a bit of haggling.

I have to say I have no regrets about buying my Washburn 166V . This is virtually identical to the fairly expensive 166Pro except that it has Far East Washburn HB pups (similar I think to Duncan Designed 101s but possibly with higher output) instead of Seymour Duncan’s. I think my model ( mine is 02 vintage) was discontinued 4 or 5 years\ago

Controls are 2 Vol and 2 Dial a taps. It is my intention to upgrade/change these controls and I have posted a request for assistance in another thread. The dial a taps do seem to work and give a useable alternative tone. In fact one of my favourite tones is from the fully cut bridge pup.

I have been a keen reader of the wiring threads for some time and would like to thank all the wiring experts (especially ArtieToo and Hermetico) for the excellent education and information.

Sorry if I am a bit off topic with this intro.
