Sustain is the same as before.. But the sound is "bigger" it feels different. Also the guitar actually vibrates allot more.. especially at the bottom of the guitar ( behind the bridge..)

Re: I made a wooden trem block

i do that to many of my trem guitars. i dont use the wiggle stick and it makes tuning more stable

Re: I made a wooden trem block

Oh oh you blocked the trem with wood

I thought you re-made the block out of wood

I was wtf

I'm better now

On mine i just bury the claw and deck the them if i don't want to pull up

I can still push down
With some effort

Same here. LOL

Now the real test is... Does it sound different with the block than it does without the block but all five springs screwed down as a tight as you can get them?

Re: I made a wooden trem block

On my parts-caster I decked the tremolo and screwed the springs in all the way. I really like the sound with the springs in, it definitely sounds different than with "slack" springs. I can't tell any difference with the block in place, though (I did the springs and then it took a couple days to make the wood block-I played it after stuffing the block in, and it sounded just like without the block to me.)

Re: I made a wooden trem block

Yea it really sounds different with the srpings screwed in rather then then slack. Ive notised the neck vibrates more when the bridge is floating, and the body vibrates more when the bridge is hardtailed.
